Contained Energy Indonesia is an established provider of renewable energy solutions to homes, villas, resorts, hotels, industry, and development projects, with over 100 projects to its name in its 10 years existence. Founded by two long-term Dutch expats, Contained Energy focuses on quality of engineering and installation, with a team of specialists and experienced energy engineers and technicians in offices in Bali and Jakarta.
Contained Energy is currently engaged in expanding its offices in Indonesia to strengthen its sales efforts for its various products with an emphasis on its on-grid solar power systems. As part of this expansion effort Contained Energy is currently hiring for the following positions:

Contained Energy is currently engaged in expanding its offices in Indonesia to strengthen its sales efforts for its various products with an emphasis on its on-grid solar power systems. As part of this expansion effort Contained Energy aims to fill a position within its sales team with the addition of a Sales Account Manager in either its Bali or Jakarta offices. While this position is focused on the sales process, it is important to note that this position will require involvement with highly technical products and technical departments within the company. The Technical Engineers at Contained Energy will handle the more tech-heavy aspects of the client sales cycle but it is nonetheless critical that the candidate is comfortable, confident and at ease when discussing technical topics with a prospect or colleague
Responsibilities
As a Sales Account Manager, you will identify and qualify new business opportunities within the residential and commercial markets around Jakarta and Bali while working closely with the Contained Energy team of Solution Engineers to sell the Contained Energy suite of products and close the deal.
You will:
- Acquire new business for Contained Energy
- Manage existing business relationships assigned to you by the company
- Initiate sales and marketing activities in Bali and Jakarta in coordination with the Contained Energy management team
- Analyze competitors’ activities in terms of market penetration
- Drive sales to achieve targets
- Participate in and identify networking events related to the Contained Energy product portfolio
- Regular reviews with line manager, which include: reporting on sales goals, efficiencies and overall performance, through periodical reports and one‐on‐one meetings.
- Coordinate with and develop strong working relationship with Contained Energy Technical Engineering team for cooperation during the sales process on all prospect / client deals
- Maintain and upload relevant prospect/customer information into company CRM tool (Salesforce)
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Must have Indonesian Nationality
- Must be able and willing to work with team based in multiple geographic offices
- Must be fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia reading, speaking and writing. Knowledge of other languages is beneficial
- Must be very comfortable with speaking to clients and colleagues about a technical product
- Must have strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
- Must be willing to travel between company offices and to client engagements
- Must have sales experience
- This is a fulltime position
- Previous experience in clean energy / solar power is highly beneficial but not an absolute requirement
- Pro-active team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, eager to work in teams
- An adaptable and flexible personality that is a mix of winner, challenger, and innovator
- Our offices are located at Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia.
